In the sound and slide installation Border district (1962-1963, 2001-2011), narratives based on interviews with a former UN-soldier and his memories of being stationed in Gaza in 1962-63 mix with lyric descriptions of everyday life around a sentry in a desert landscape. These are contrasted with information on a current state of war in Afghanistan, seen from a Danish perspective.
The voice of the narrator represents three different periods and positions, which together create parallel realities between past and present, where Denmark's military contribution has changed by means of Denmark's revised and aggressive foreign policy, which has lead us to wars in Afghanistan and Iraq since 2001.
The sound and slide installationen Border discrict (1962-1963, 2001-2011), consists of five slide projectors which glow statically ine the darkened exhibition room and a 21 min. sound track.
